More investments: Acquire, world leader in “contact centers”, and CEI-RD begin operations

Santo Domingo.  Acquire, a world leading Contact Center and Data Processing Company of Australian capital, began operations on Wednesday March 2nd, at their Acropolis Tower installations, with a projected investment of US$30 million in 5 years.

The act was spearheaded by the Executive Director of the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD), Dr. Jean A. Rodriguez and the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Acquire BPO, Mrs. Kathryn Marshall, representing Mr. Scott Stavretis, Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

700 direct jobs

The company, which specializes in providing services and solutions to a wide range of industries during all phases of their global business process, under the outsourcing concept, will create around 700 direct jobs, and is focusing  on its mission to offer their clients results that meet their business objectives, through the use of world class technology.

The welcoming words were spoken by Kathryn Marshall, who noted The Dominican Republic’s impressive growth and the trust they have in the country which ultimately leads to investments.

The company operates 12 centers around the world

“Currently, our company employs around 7,000 experienced professionals within their field and operates from 12 centers around the world, located in Australia, the Philippines, the United States, and now the Dominican Republic”, noted the CCO of Acquire.

DR with great advantages for the sector

She pointed out that the start of operations in the country was preceded by previous intensive research and a deliberation period on where to best establish their business capital, finally selecting the Dominican Republic, in light of the many advantages it offered,  “due to the governmental support as well as the quality of the bilingual labor force, the quality in telecommunication infrastructure, the economic growth, the government support and the cultural similarities with the United States”.

“Acquire is our flagship, and I can honestly say that today we are opening the best center in its class in the Dominican Republic, particularly because of the fact that we have invested in the right people, in home grown talent,” emphasized Marshall.”

“A special thanks to the government of the Dominican Republic, especially to the Minister, Dr. Jean Alain Rodriguez and his efficient team from the CEI-RD, who were with us throughout this initiative.  For our part, we are delighted to be able to transmit our culture and global process and performance standards through this new center”, he added.

The opening of Acquire confirms that DR is the best country for investing

For his part, the Executive Director of the CEI-RD, Dr. Jean A Rodriguez, in his main speech expressed that the coming of Acquire ratifies the Dominican Republic as one of the best countries for investment, thanks to the promotion policies and trust from the government of President Danilo Medina.

“With this opening, we show foreign investors who are looking for a local growing market, the availability of a competitive work force, and a strategic position to offer regional and global services, the opportunities that our country has to develop investment projects in the offshore and nearshore data processing sector”, the Government official pointed out.
